Membership Benefits

AIPA is run by pilots for pilots. It also has a team of dedicated professionals that facilitate the advancement of our members’ interests. The Association is the pre-eminent voice of Australian pilots.  Our main purpose is to assist you with any issues that arise in your employment.  We are here to protect your career and the profession you are passionate about.

The current membership fee is 0.88% of your annual gross salary*.  This remains the lowest membership subscription fee of any pilot union in Australia.

Scheduling Advice
AIPA scheduling representatives are available to members 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

  • ​​​Enterprise Bargaining Agreement negotiations to improve your terms and conditions
  • Access to AIPA's industrial lawyers to provide you with advice about your rights and entitlements at work
  • Legal representation in disciplinary and training matters

Associate Membership
Pilots on Leave Without Pay, may qualify for Associate Membership.

Associate Membership is $20.00 per month.  Benefits include:

  • AIPA communications including AIPA Insights (fortnightly), Altitude (quarterly) and regular member emails
  • Access to publications provided by IFALPA
  • Member only access to AIPA’s website
  • In very limited circumstances, and at AIPA’s sole discretion, industrial and/or legal assistance may be provided. The level of assistance will be determined on a case-by-case basis in consultation with AIPA’s President
  • Limited accident and incident assistance in Australia and overseas, as determined by AIPA’s President
  • 24/7 confidential welfare peer support service
